Welcome to Appalachian Art and Design. My name is Craig Williamson, and I grew up in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. My work is influenced by the beauty of those gentle mountains. Over the years, their calming effect has interwoven itself into my soul and is reflected in my art, even the most abstract. I am self taught, using the inspiration of the wonder around me along with what I've learned from various teachers along the way to create the art you see on these pages.

You will find here an eclectic style ranging from realist paintings to abstracts, landscape photography, mandalas and fractals. When my work brings joy to a person if only for a moment, then I feel that I'm a success at what I do. Please feel welcome to browse and enjoy yourself.
